Adrian Colunga returns to Albion tomorrow with his future still up in the air.

But Gordon Greer is already back to prepare for his sixth season with the Seagulls.

Spanish striker Colunga will report for pre-season training with new signing Tomer Hemed, Beram Kayal and Christian Walton.

Hemed and Kayal, together with Walton, have been given extra time off by Chris Hughton following their international commitments with Israel and England under-20s.

Skipper Greer was back yesterday after playing for Scotland during the summer recess.

Hughton has allowed Jake Forster-Caskey more time to recover from his exertions with England’s under-21s and their disappointing exit from the group stage of the European Championship finals in the Czech Republic.

Colunga’s future is likely to rest elsewhere, with Hughton intent on signing another forward after the purchase of target man Hemed from Almeria.

He is only halfway through a two-year deal but became surplus to requirements once Hughton succeeded Sami Hyypia as manager at the end of last year.

Colunga, bought last summer from Getafe, spent the second half of last season back in Spain on loan to Granada but struggled for form and was also hampered by injury and suspension.

Albion fly to Geneva on Sunday for a six-day training camp behind closed doors at Tignes in the French Alps.

They return to Geneva for a friendly against Swiss minnows FC Meryin on July 11 (2pm) before returning to England for the first warm-up game on home soil at Lewes a week later (3pm).
