Albion boss Chris Hughton expects Adrian Colunga's future to be settled in the next few weeks.

The Spanish striker missed Wednesday's friendly at Crawley with a minor knock after featuring at Lewes on Saturday.

Colunga was loaned out to Granada at the start of the year, shortly after Hughton took charge, and has been linked with La Liga newcomers Las Palmas.

Hughton told The Argus: "At this moment he's a Brighton player. The pre-season and start of the season will determine whether he is here or not. He couldn't have done any more. He hasn't missed any training apart from the last few days.

"I think he wants to knuckle down and I think he is doing what is right. He wants to knuckle down and see if there is a future here for him, if he is going to be involved. That will be determined over these next weeks."

Solly March and Bruno are being assessed ahead of Sunday's trip to Aberdeen following first half injuries in the 3-0 win at Crawley.

Hughton said: "Solly just went over on his ankle slightly. We certainly don't want him to be injured. He missed a chunk of last season and he's looked very bright in pre-season. My gut feeling is it's not too bad.

"Bruno felt his calf slightly. He could have carried on but with GG (Gordon Greer) out we didn't want to take any chances. I think he'll be fine."

Fulham transfer target Lewis Dunk could return at Pittodrie but Greer and Jake Forster-Caskey (knee) will still be missing.

Forster-Caskey was allowed extra time off after his close season involvement with England under-21s and has yet to play since reporting back.

Hughton said: "Once he's back he's got a good level of fitness and he'll slot straight back in again."
