Albion are in the running for an award double after their flying start to the season.
Chris Hughton is one of four nominations for the Sky Bet Championship manager of the month award.
And goalscoring winger Kazega LuaLua has been shortlisted for the player of the month prize.
Hughton, who was part of the judging panel before taking the post at the Amex, is up against two managers who came down from the Premier League this summer, former Albion defender Chris Ramsey (QPR) and Steve Bruce (Hull).
The short list also includes the boss who was on the receiving end of the Seagulls’ latest success, Mick McCarthy (Ipswich).
Meanwhile, LuaLua faces competition from influential Birmingham City midfielder Stephen Gleeson, Ipswich wideman Ryan Fraser and Burnley centre-back Michael Keane, all of whom have been among the goals already this season.
Winners will be announced tomorrow morning.
