ADRIAN COLUNGA’S Albion nightmare could be eased by a loan move away from the Amex.

Chris O’Grady was borrowed by Nottingham Forest for the rest of the season on the final day of the transfer window but fellow fringe striker Colunga’s chances of a return to Spain did not materialise.

He could eventually be loaned out, although manager Chris Hughton is in no hurry to trim the squad.

Hughton told The Argus: “If there came a time where we felt there is good value in getting somebody out for a month of games then that is something we would very much think about.

“At the moment it’s not something very high on my priority list. I am fortunate we have got a good training group, a motivated group at the moment, and I’m not desperate to get anybody out.

“But it’s normal to assess that as time goes on. If we stay injury free then it’s certainly something we would think about.

“He (Colunga) might possibly fall into that category and there might be one or two others but at the moment I’m quite happy.”

Colunga made the last of two substitute appearances under Hughton in January before going on loan to Granada.

Danny Holla has also dropped down the central midfield pecking order under Hughton.

The Dutchman has started four of Albion’s last 22 Championship matches and has only featured this season in the Capital One Cup.

Albion’s trip to Burnley has been moved to Sunday November 22 (1.15pm) for live coverage on Sky.
