Liam Rosenior has revealed his concerns for Albion team-mates and a Burnley rival during the terrorist attacks in France.

Seagulls trio Tomer Hemed, Beram Kayal and Dale Stephens were all in Paris with their families during the international break when the terrorists embarked on their killing spree at multiple locations in the city.

So too was Burnley's George Boyd, a close friend of Rosenior's and ex-colleague at Hull, as they prepare to face each other at Turf Moor on Sunday.

Rosenior told The Argus: "George, who's one of my best friends, was there with his family in Paris as well and it was such a tragedy what happened.

"As soon as we found out we were all messaging the lads here at the club to make sure that they were safe and thankfully they were, as well as George.

"I messaged him straight away as soon as I found out. When something like that happens, it puts everything into perspective.

"To see the show they put on when France played England at Wembley, it shows that when bad things happen, sometimes the good in people comes out.

"It's really important that you react to extreme negative things in a positive way. The last week has shown that when really bad things happen, people can come together regardless of religion, colour, nationality, creed, it doesn’t matter.

"We're all one part of a human race and we're all deeply affected by what happened in Paris."

The Premier League's decision to play the French national anthem, La Marseillaise, before all 10 matches across the weekend has provoked criticism on social media that anthems of other countries targeted by terror attacks have been ignored.
