Bobby Zamora reckons Lewis Dunk was harshly treated by the penalty decision which pegged Albion back at Burnley.

The defender was involved in the fourth-minute incident which led to Zamora’s first-minute opener being cancelled out in the 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.

Albion’s marksman said: “We were disappointed to give the penalty away.

“I haven’t seen it back but this season we have had a couple of absolute blatant ones in the (opposition) box.

“Then this one comes along. I don’t know if the referee is on TV and just wants to get a little bit (of attention).

“Our centre-halves have been up in the opposite box and there have been blatant penalties and we have not got them.”

Seagulls boss Chris Hughton spoke along the same lines.

He said: “Having seen it there’s no doubt Lewis has got some of his shirt but I think also the lad has as well and you see that every game. In our last home game Lewis was pulled in the box at a corner.”
