Stand-in skipper Bruno believes the worn Amex pitch is slowing Albion down.
The right-back smashed a shot against the crossbar as the Seagulls lost 1-0 at home to Wolves.
But they struggled to find the attacking tempo needed to end their four-game goal drought.
Bruno said: “The pitch is so bad as you can see.
“It doesn’t help us because we need to play quick.
“Playing on pitches like this, you need to take an extra touch.
“Now we have 22 days until we play again at home and I hope the pitch is much better.
“Our way to play is play quick, play forward.
“We can’t have excuses. The pitch is for both teams but I don’t think playing at home is always an advantage.”
