James Wilson came off the bench to head the second-half winner as Albion enjoyed a welcome home success today.

Bobby Zamora was also on target as they beat Huddersfield 2-1.

And Anthony Knockaert enjoyed a home debut to cherish with assists for both goals and a livewire, man-of-the-match performance.

Zamora finished off a stunning 30th-mionute counter-attack to give his side the lead.

But Harry Bunn headed Huddersfield level in first-half added time.

Jamie Murphy had cleared Joel Lynch’s glancing header off the line before Albion went ahead – from a Huddersfield corner.

Zamora made the initial clearance, Beram Kayal took the ball away and fed Knockaert, the Frenchman cut inside and curled the ball across for Zamora – and he expertly guided it first time back across Jed Steer.

The Argus:

Albion wasted a couple more very promising counter-attack positions and Knockaert curled just past the far post from wide out.

But Town, who played some attractive football, levelled in the second added minute as Tommy Smith chipped a cross in from the byline and Bunn arrived late and untracked to guide a downward header past David Stockdale (pictured below).

The Argus:

Knockaert almost restored the lead after the break when his 25-yard free-kick, curled over the wall, hit the outside of the post.

But he was the provider on 66 minutes with a cross which Wilson – eight minutes after going on for Zamora - guided home with a clever header.

Another substitute Kazenga LuaLua was twice fouled by right-back Smith, each time seeing yellow. The second, and subsequent red, came in the 84th minute.

The Seagulls saw it through quite comfortably from then and go third in the table.
