Bobby Zamora has fired up Albion fans as they prepare for a home double-header.

The Seagulls host Brentford on Friday night and struggling Bolton eight days later.

Albion reignited their promotion push with two wins and Zamora told The Argus: “We had an unbeaten run, then went on a not so great run. Each of those had to come to an end.

“That’s what has happened and we are back on track and working hard.

“The fans are magnificent and they have got to realise they can make a difference.

“Whether we are not playing great or whatever, just keep supporting us.

“They have been absolutely brilliant. They make a big difference and it’s strange they don’t realise that.

“They can be a part of us winning games.”

Brentford held on to chief playmaker Alan Judge during the transfer window but have been weakened by the loss of defender James Tarkowski to Burnley, wideman Jota to Eibar and midfield powerhouse Toumani Diagouraga to Leeds.

Zamora is likely to get a few jeers from away fans given his popularity at neighbours Fulham and QPR but said: “They are a very good team, well organised and hard working. We know it will be tough.

“They are sharp, they know what they are doing, they seem to be well drilled that makes a big difference to have the understanding of where your team-mates are going to be.”

In the Championship last night, Derby climbed above Albion in fourth place despite having to settle for a goalless draw at home to Preston, Burnley drew 1-1 at Sheffield Wednesday.
