Albion boss Chris Hughton wants more goals from his midfield kingpins.

But he says it is unfair to Judge them against Brentford's leading marksman.

Dale Stephens has scored four goals this season, Beram Kayal one.

Alan Judge, linked with Sunderland and Burnley during the transfer window, has hit 12 for tonight's visitors to the Amex.

He has only strikers Ross McCormack, Abel Hernandez and Andre Gray ahead of him in the Championship chart.

Hughton told The Argus: "He is having a very good season and he's certainly a player we'll have to be mindful of.

"He's a good, technical player that is capable of scoring goals but also the system suits him.

"It allows him to play off the front. They give him a floating role.

"I think our central midfield players can score more goals but their position is completely different (to Judge). As a two they tend to play a bit deeper because we have two strikers and two wide players.

"That stops a little bit of feedom to maraud into the box when you already have four offensive players."

Hughton has urged his promotion chasers to capitalise on consecutive home games against Brentford and bottom club Bolton a week tomorrow ahead of a tough week of away trips to Hull, Cardiff and Bristol City.

He said: "It's about trying to make the most of those home games. We always get wonderful support and it's always a great atmosphere at the Amex but there are no easy games.

"Bolton are pushing hard and probably two or three wins away from getting out of that bottom three, so they'll be fighting.

"But we know you have to win games to be where you want to be."
