Albion defender Tom Dallison has signed for League Two Crawley Town on loan.

The under-21 centre-back is available for tomorrow's game against Plymouth after joining on a 30-day loan from the Championship promotion chasers.

The 20-year-old is yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for the Seagulls, although he did feature in their pre-season games against Lewes, Aberdeen, Gillingham and also Crawley. He has also spent time on loan at Dartford and Braintree.

Crawley boss Mark Yates said: “I’ve seen Tom a few times and been impressed. I think he’s got all the attributes to be a good central defender and this is the next step up for him having had a taste of senior football in the National League.

“I’d like to thank Chris Hughton and Simon Rusk (Albion under-21s manager) for agreeing to let us have him."

Meanwhile, midfielder Ross Jenkins has had his contract cancelled and has left the club to join Romanian top-flight club ACS Poli Timisoara.

The former Watford midfielder, who joined the club last September, made 12 appearances for Reds including six starts.

His contract was due to run until the end of the season.
