Boss Chris Hughton believes a squad packed with nous will help Albion hold their nerve in the promotion run-in.

Hughton is set to name an unchanged side for the third game running at Preston on Saturday after successive 4-0 victories against Bristol City and Leeds.

He said: "Connor Goldson has come in and done well, so we have got two relatively young centre-halves, but we've got an experienced goalkeeper, both full-backs.

"The two players in midfield have got experience. Knockaert has done it before, Tomer (Hemed) is 28, an experienced player. There's a good mix in the team.

"We've got a good mix of younger players but a fair bit of experience in the squad. That experience means they are used to being in pressurised positions, in positions where they are perhaps going for something, and a lot of them are used to playing in big games, so I think that helps."

Hughton is not getting carried away by Albion's two wide margin wins.

"In this division you can't," he said. "You have to remember before these 4-0 victories we lost 4-1 (at Cardiff). That can happen.

"We always have to be a little bit guarded but if you can't get confidence from these last two performances you never will.

"Scoring four goals, which is unlike us, shows the confidence at the moment.

"We've been in the top six all season and for most of that the top three or four. There is no doubt there is a confidence in the squad but the teams around us are such good teams.

"There are also teams above us and around us capable of going on a very good run. We've got to make sure we match that."
