BERAM KAYAL wants to commit his future to promotion-chasing Albion.

The 27-year-old Israeli midfielder has been key to the Seagulls’ bid to reach the Premier League alongside Dale Stephens.

Kayal told The Argus: “I’m enjoying the moment here. I’ve got one year left on my contract. We’ll see in the summer what the club want.

“I’m happy to stay here, enjoying my life with my family.

“Of course, all the rumours about you are going to be in the summer but I’m happy at the moment, focused, and I want to stay at this club.”

Kayal, signed from Celtic in January 2015, has played in 43 of the Seagulls’ 46 league games this season.

“It’s been a great season for me,” he said. “I’m happy with my performances and to play so many games. I’ve never played as many games in a season since I was at Maccabi (Haifa) six or seven years ago.

“I’ve not been injured, always fit, always available for the manager, so for me it’s been a great season.”

Boss Chris Hughton, who tracked Kayal when he was in charge at Norwich, said: “The factor that has done him the biggest favour is playing consistently. There was no doubt about his ability at Celtic but he had a couple of injuries that stifled his progress. He has been at a very good level all season.”

Stephens faces his old club Charlton tomorrow. They were relegated on Tuesday but beat leaders Middlesbrough last month and also host second-placed Burnley on the final day.

“We’ve got a job to do and it’s not going to be easy,” Stephens said. “We’ve seen teams go there and fail to win.”

Burnley, above Albion on goal difference, face a Lancashire Derby at Preston tonight. Boro, two points clear with three games left, entertain Ipswich tomorrow.
