Lucky charm Liam Rosenior has vowed to be fit for Albion’s crunch promotion clash against Derby County.

And that is good news for the Seagulls’ hopes of another positive result.

Rosenior was forced off by a back spasm in the latter stages of Saturday’s 3-1 win at Charlton.

The experienced left-back pledged: “I’ll be fit for next Monday”.

Rosenior, automatically promoted from the Championship with Hull three seasons ago, has yet to taste defeat in the league with the Seagulls when starting.

The 31-year-old, sidelined earlier in the season by a long-term knee injury after signing in the summer, has been part of 15 wins and ten draws and a member of an unchanged back four reeling off an unbeaten sequence of 12 matches, including nine victories.

Derby, already booked for the play-offs, could have former Albion loan signing Bradley Johnson back from a knee injury to bolster their midfield options for Monday’s showdown at the Amex (2.30).

The Rams’ record signing from Norwich, where he played under Albion boss Chris Hughton, has missed their last four matches.

Johnson scored when the teams drew 2-2 at the ipro Stadium in December.
