Abel Hernandez put Hull ahead
Albion have a mountain to climb in the Championship play-offs against Sheffield Wednesday - but Derby are facing a cliff.
They were demolished 3-0 by Hull in their home leg today.
Abel Hernandez fired Hull ahead and they were further in front by the break as a shot from Moses Odubajo took a big deflection off Derby defender Jason Shackell.
Andrew Robertson stretched the Tigers' lead in the dying moments, leaving Derby with a near-hopeless task in the second leg at the KC Stadium on Tuesday night.
Wednesday and Hull are now hot favourites to meet in the Wembley final on May 28.
