1991 Ipswich

Barry Lloyd's Albion were unravelling in their bid for promotion and looked set to miss out on the play-offs in the last game of the season at the Goldstone.

Two wins in nine matches left them needing to beat Ipswich to sneak into the play-offs.

Mike Small converted a penalty but Chris Kiwomya equalised. With time running out, Dean Wilkins curled in a free-kick to snatch the points and extend the season.

1997 Hereford

Albion were heading out of the Football League, with the fans revolting against the owners over the sale of the Goldstone.

New manager Steve Gritt inherited an apparently hopeless task but a form revival gave them a chance with two games to go.

Stuart Storer fired the only goal of an emotion-charged last ever game at the Goldstone against Doncaster Rovers, then Robbie Reinelt equalised on the last day at Hereford to keep Albion up and send the hosts down.

2009 Stockport County

Albion were dead and buried, seemingly doomed to relegation from League One when Russell Slade was appointed manager.

They won five of their last seven games and took 13 points from the last 15 to beat the drop and complete the 'Great Escape'.

Slade was carried aloft from the pitch at Withdean on the final day after Nicky Forster secured a precious 1-0 victory.

2014 Nottingham Forest

The Argus: Needing to better Reading's 2-2 draw with Burnley to squeeze into the play-offs, Oscar Garcia's Seagulls trailed to a Matt Derbyshire header for Forest at the City Ground.

Stephen Ward levelled with a half-volley but all hope seemed lost as the game moved deep into stoppage time.

Craig Mackail-Smith crossed and Leo Ulloa rose to nod a dramatic winner, sparking joyous celebrations among the players and away fans in the East Midlands.

2015 Charlton

Albion were 2-0 down in four minutes as Ademola Lookman and Reza Ghoochannejhad scored for Charlton.

A solo effort from James Wilson early in the second half reduced the arrears before Charlton's Patrick Bauer was sent-off.

Bobby Zamora equalised from close range late on and Tomer Hemed headed a sensational winner a minute later to send the Amex wild.
