Albion talent-spotter Ewan Chester has rejoined his old club Birmingham City as football consultant.
The vastly-experienced Chester has returned with a primary role of helping "enhance the talent identification and recruitment process" at St Andrew's.
Albion are comfortable with his departure given the key role being played by Paul Winstanley in player recruitment.
Chester worked with Chris Hughton for Birmingham and Norwich and followed him to the Amex in February, 2015, as part of off-field restructuring.
He was Blues' chief scout between September 2011 and June 2012 .
