Uninspired Albion went down to a conclusive 3-0 defeat by Fulham in pre-season action tonight.

But they got useful game time into 22 players as they continued to warm up for the Championship season.

A first-half header by Cauley Woodrow and angled efforts after the break by Ryan Sessegnon and Richard Stearman gave Fulham a win their more incisive creative work deserved.

The margin could have been wider. Sone Aluko hit the bar with a first-half free-kick and Michael Madl saw a bouncing second–half effort cleared from right in front of goal.

Albion got through a lot of defensive work and young centre-half Ben White will have learned a lot from his 72 minutes. But they offered very little going forward.

Lewis Dunk had perhaps their best moment, with the score at 0-0, when he saw his goalwards prod hacked away.

Dale Stephens missed the game due a whack to the knee suffered at Crawley on Saturday.

He will return at the weekend when Albion send teams to both Luton and Stevenage.
