Christian Walton does not expect to be recalled by Albion after David Stockdale's injury.

The 20-year-old keeper is on a season-long loan at Luton Town.

Albion No.1 Stockdale suffered a shin injury in the closing stages of Friday's 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest at the Amex.

Walton said: "I think it's just if there's one fit professional keeper at the club they can recall me, but that won't be the case.

"They've got depth of keepers at Brighton for that back up, they're allowing me to come here to play, so I wouldn't think that would be a problem."

Niki Maenpaa deputises for Stockdale in Tuesday's home game against Rotherham, while Casper Ankergren will be on the bench as cover.

Walton is set for his fourth successive start for Luton at home to Newport County the same night.

The former England under-21, speaking to Luton Today, said: "That's what I'm here to do, get my games, they're coming thick and fast, so I couldn't ask for any more."
