Albion marksman Glenn Murray is hungry to maintain his amazing scoring record at the Amex against Wolves.

The striker re-signed on loan from Bournemouth slotted his sixth home goal in as many league appearances this season against Preston on Saturday.

That stretched his total to ten in nine outings at the stadium, including visits with former club Reading and Crystal Palace.

Sam Baldock, Murray’s partner against Wanderers tonight, said: “His main attribute is his willingness to score goals and I think he’s definitely got a target in mind.

“He said to me on the pitch on Saturday ‘Sam get me a goal’. He realises if he scores goals, it’s more than likely that we’ll win.

“It’s his job to try to score goals and hopefully I can chip in with a few as well.”

Baldock has struck in each of the last two games against Preston and Sheffield Wednesday alongside Murray.

Their partnership is poised to continue this evening, regardless of whether Tomer Hemed recovers from a thigh injury.

Baldock said: “Glenn’s a good forward for any striker to play alongside. He worked well with Tomer and I’ve managed to work well with him as well.

“He wins his fair share of headers and I’m used to playing off someone who wins a lot of flick-ons, so I can always gamble off him, and he looks to bring other people into play.

“I think they’re quite similar players (Murray and Hemed), intelligent players. They both love scoring goals and being inside the box. They both offer decent hold-up play and I enjoy playing with both of them.”
