DAVID STOCKDALE 8

Busier in the second half than the first and made himself big to produce a superb block from Sordell at close range. It took a perfect free-kick to beat him.

BRUNO 7

Had not played at home since December 27 due to a postponement, squad rotation and injury but this was a smooth return. Superb on the ball at times.

SHANE DUFFY 7

As highlighted by Nigel Clough, was a commanding presence when Burton got the ball into the box. A steady afternoon for the Irishman.

LEWIS DUNK 7

One awkward moment, when Sordell outwitted him and was denied by Stockdale. But also made a super interception of a dangerous low cross.

SEB POCOGNOLI 7

Generally fine defensively again and possibly unlucky to concede the free-kick from which Burton scored. His attacking rapport with March is a work in progress.

ANTHONY KNOCKAERT 8

Early tackle from behind by Flanagan left him in discomfort. Still delivered fourth assist of season for Hemed’s breakthrough and fifth, a delicious cross for Murray to bury.

DALE STEPHENS 7

Brought some authority back to central midfield on his return from calf trouble. Good range of passing, although caught in possession a couple of times.

STEVE SIDWELL 7

Better with Stephens alongside him for the first time since December. It allowed him to get forward more. Initiated lead doubler by releasing March.

SOLLY MARCH 9

Grew into the game after quiet opening half-hour. Glides past opponents with ease. Made time and room count to pick out Baldock for the killer second goal, then jinked his way to penalty.

SAM BALDOCK 7

Felt his way back after missing five matches with a calf injury. Big moment came for him early in the second half with goal to bring up his century.

TOMER HEMED 9

Could not ask for much more on his return to the starting line-up at expense of top scorer Murray. Two goals to raise his tally to 12 in all competitions and worked tirelessly.
