The hard grind is under way for Albion in Austria as they prepare for the Premier League.

The Seagulls arrived in the Alpine resort of Leogang yesterday for a week-long training camp.

Their opening match against Manchester City at the Amex is now only 34 days away.

Last season's top scorer Glenn Murray said: "It will be nice to go away for a week and work hard as a group.

"I think it will all become a bit more real when we walk out that first weekend, but for now it's the hardest part, getting fit and motivated for that first game."

Beram Kayal did not fly out to Austria with the rest of the group.

The Israeli midfielder stayed behind for the birth of his second son.

Albion face German second division side Fortuna Dusseldorf on Friday in their opening pre-season friendly (5pm UK time).
