Ex-Albion boss Oscar Garcia could emerge as a shock contender for the manager’s job at Everton.
The Catalan coach, who recently left St-Etienne, is believed to have been sounded out by Goodison officials.
Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca of Shaktar Donetsk has been linked with the post in his native country although Portuguese sports daily A Bola today insisted that would not happen.
It is understood Oscar, who was in charge at the Amex in the 2013-14 season, has been asked about his way of working and has impressed with his references.
Sam Allardyce continues to be linked with the job left vacant when Everton parted company with Ronald Koeman.
