Gaetan Bong is set to return to the Albion defence against Liverpool at the Amex on Saturday.
A slight knee injury ruled out the left-back in Tuesday's 0-0 home draw against Crystal Palace.
Austrian Markus Suttner deputised in Bong's absence.
Manager Chris Hughton, speaking at his pre-match briefing today, said: "Gaetan's fine. He had a slight knock and we decided not to take a chance.
"We've got two left-backs plus Liam Rosenior, who is still pushing, so we felt we didn't need to take a risk with Gaetan."
Midfielder Beram Kayal was in the squad for the first time this season against Palace as an unused sub after breaking a leg.
Striker Sam Baldock has yet to feature after returning from summer calf surgery in the under-23s.
Hughton said: "Sam is available. The difficulty is he has still missed some sessions over the period, so he is probably not at his best level, but he is training really well at the moment."
Steve Sidwell (back) remains sidelined.
