Bruno has urged Albion’s players to take responsibility and concentrate on getting their own games right.

The skipper believes team-mates should be looking at themselves and asking what more they can do to end their winless run.

But he has also advised them not to panic after a series of two points from a possible 15 since hitting the dizzy heights of eighth place at the most recent international break.

Albion are looking for a response to their tame 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield.

Bruno said: “What we have to do as players is look at ourselves as individuals and ask what more you can give to the team. We cannot look at someone else.

“Every player needs to look at himself and try to give his best.”

Huddersfield pressed enthusiastically – and as high up the pitch as possible.

Bruno believed Albion needed to be better on the ball to reduce the amount of time they spent defending and the number of set-pieces they faced.

But he added: “This is the Premier League and we knew this season would be really tough.

“We cannot get mad just because we lost one or two games.

“Now is when we need to see characters and the team together and that is the main thing.

“If someone was thinking the Premier League was going to be easy, he was wrong.”
