Tottenham aim to hit the bull’s eye tonight – with another three-point haul.

But their boss Mauricio Pochettino expects Albion to be fired up by the prospect of playing at Wembley.

Pochettino was thrown by a question about the forthcoming World Darts Championship at his press conference yesterday.

The Argentinean is a big darts fan but stressed his concentration is solely on the Premier League for now.

That means following up the 5-1 rout of Stoke with more success at a venue he knows lifts visiting teams.

Albion as a club have never been to the new Wembley, despite reaching three play-off semi-finals in recent years.

Going further back, the club blew a big chance to tread the hallowed turf by losing a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy regional final against Luton in 2008-09.

Pochettino said: “Teams that come to play at Wembley after many years and players that have maybe never played at Wembley, it’s a massive motivation to come and play against Tottenham.

“That is an extra push that we need to suffer. That makes it more complicated to get good results.

“I know Chris (Hughton) very well. We know very well how the teams under him try to play.

“It will be a tough game, not only because of the motivation to play against Tottenham and at Wembley but because they are doing very well from the beginning of the season, have good players and a fantastic manager.

“I think all Tottenham fans love Chris Hughton and how he is, not only as a manager but as a person. We have a great relationship and it will be fantastic to see him.

“But we are going to try to win.”

Pochettino confirmed he will make changes tonight.

There could be alterations in the full-back berths with Serge Aurier and Danny Rose keen for playing time.

Erik Lamela is among the more creative players pushing for a start. Toby Aldeweireld and Victor Wanyama remain sidelined as well as the banned Davinson Sanchez.

Eric Dier is likely to continue at centre-back but Pochettino has enough to ponder without allowing his thoughts to wander to the oche.

He initially thought the question about the World Championship referred to next summer’s World Cup and started talking up Argentina's chances before his error was pointed out.

Then he said: “Darts? I love darts. When does it start? I’m going to watch, of course, because I love to see the darts.

"But I’m focusing on football now – sorry.”
