Chris Hughton says Albion must not panic about being dragged into the Premier League relegation battle.

Five points divide the Seagulls in 13th from Swansea at the foot of the table and they are three points clear of the relegation zone.

Boss Hughton said: "It's hugely important (not to panic). We lost the first two, then had a good run - it's very difficult to sustain that right through a season and was probably never going to happen.

"But we have got ourselves into this position with some good wins during that time. It's a very challenging division. For as much as you've got to make sure when things went well you kept level headed, the same applies now.

"There are more established, bigger clubs than us that have had similar problems, similar runs, and at this moment we are in better league position than them. We are at a stage where we have to start winning games and scoring goals."

Hughton is weighing up whether to retain Israeli duo Beram Kayal and Tomer Hemed in the starting line-up against Burnley at the Amex on Saturday after both featured in last night's 2-0 defeat by Tottenham at Wembley.

Sixth-placed Burnley are boosted by the returns from injury of Ben Mee and Matt Lowton, while a decision will be made tomorrow on ex-Albion left-back Stephen Ward (knee).
