Albion Women have completed the signing of Swedish full-back Amanda Nilden on a contract until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old impressed during a trial with the Seagulls in recent weeks and is eligible to make her debut in the Women’s Super League 2 match against Doncaster Rovers Belles on January 28.
Albion Women manager Hope Powell said: “She did really well in her two training sessions here. She was a bit nervous in the first one as expected, but we invited her to come again and she expressed herself a little bit more.
“She has a cultured left foot, is technically good and comfortable in possession. She plays in a full-back, wing-back role - so for us, she’s a really good signing.
“Amanda’s young and wants to develop. She’s very keen, athletic and adds a different dimension to the squad - she ticks all the boxes.”
Nilden began her career at IF Brommapojkarna before moving to AIK, and the Swede has also made a number of appearances for her national team from under-15 to under-19 level.
