Crawley Town are braced for a busy final day of the transfer window.

Reds have received a bid for frontrunner Jordan Roberts from League One high-flyers Shrewsbury Town.

There is also thought to be interest in midfielder Josh Payne.

And it would be no shock if Reds were to receive a final-day bid for in-form Dutch forward Enzio Boldewijn, whose two goals saw off high-flying Accrington on Saturday.

Reds yesterday brought in attacking midfielder Karlan Ahearne-Grant on loan from Charlton until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old completed his move in time to train with his new team-mates yesterday morning.

He has played for England at under-17, under-18 and under-19 level.

Reds head coach Harry Kewell said: β€œHe is an athletic, attacking midfielder with an eye for goal who has got lots of Championship and League One experience already under his belt.”

Kewell will be keen to keep his squad intact, and indeed add to it, after taking them away from the danger zone and into a position from which they could now launch a play-off bid.

Their win over Accrington was watched by a far larger contingent of talent scouts than is usually present at the Checkatrade Stadium.

Roberts is out of contract at the end of the season so Reds could be tempted by a sizeable bid.
