Glenn Murray said Albion deserved their win – as the Amex roared them past West Ham.
The Albion striker opened the scoring early in their 3-1 success as he converted a one-on-one.
Great strikes from Jose Izquierdo and Pascal Gross secured the points after Javier Hernandez had levelled in style.
Murray said: “It was nervy at times but luckily we got the result we believed we deserved.
“We had the momentum, we came out of the traps pretty quick.
“We were disappointed to let them back in the game and make it 1-1.
“I think they probably had the ascendancy in the latter part of the first half.
“Luckily we managed to get a very, very good goal (by Izquierdo) which set us on our way and Pascal put the icing on the cake.
“In the end, I thought it was a pretty comfortable three points.”
Murray said the home crowd helped Albion to their win.
He added: “We need that 12th man and I thought at times today the Amex was really loud.”
