Jurgen Locadia fears he will have to wait for his chance to impress new Dutch manager Ronald Koeman.

Albion's record buy has represented his country from under-17s through to the under-21s but not yet at senior level.

A call-up last year for friendlies against England and France was wrecked by injury.

Now the hamstring trouble with PSV which has delayed his Albion debut until today's FA Cup tie against Coventry has ruined Locadia's chances of featuring with team-mate Davy Propper (below) in Koeman's first squad for next month's friendly against England.

The Argus: "It's difficult for me because I haven't played games since December," Locadia said. "I need to start playing, scoring goals and getting assists.

"If that goes well maybe I will get another inivitation. I don't know him (Koeman) personally and I haven't worked with him."

Locadia grew up playing Streetsoccer alongside former Albion midfielder Kemy Agustien.

He said: "Johann Cruyff made a lot of pitches in Holland, artificial where you can play five against five. Every summer I went there, Kemy was there also. We started learning together.

"You learnt to play in small spaces and against good players. I had a good time there."

The relaxed atmosphere of living in Brighton Marina contrasts with Locadia's early impressions of English football.

"There is a lot of power and speed," he said. "The tempo is insane here. I've seen that from training and the game against Stoke from the bench. The speed is much higher than in Holland."
