EZEQUIEL SCHELOTTO has cleared an Arsenal opponent of blame over the clash which shocked the Amex.
Fans called for Sead Kolasinac to be sent-off after pole-axing the right-back.
But that was replaced by a concerned hush as Schelotto remained flat out on the pitch.
He was eventually able to walk off after lengthy treatment.
Schelotto told The Argus: “He did it with no bad intentions “We were just contesting the ball and I arrived first and he couldn’t stop.
“At the end of the game he came over to talk to me and see how I was.”
Albion will keep a careful eye on Schelotto this week as they prepare to visit Everton on Saturday.
