Jose Mourinho has backed Albion to stay up this season.
The Manchester United saw his team work hard for a 2-0 win over the Seagulls in the FA Cup quarter-final tonight.
It was Albion’s second defeat at Old Trafford this season but they have performed creditably on each occasion.
Mourinho said: “Of course they had a reaction in the second half between minutes 15 and 30, no more than that.
“They can play football. It was a match without pressure for them.
“I really think their big target, the one that puts them under pressure, is to stay in the Premier League, which they are going to do for sure.
“Today there was nothing to lose for them.
“They had a reaction but even not playing well we kept control of the game and the result.”
