Albion winger Soufyan Ahannach has suffered a double leg fracture.
The 22-year-old sustained the horrific injury playing for loan club Sparta Rotterdam against NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivisie last night.
Ahannach collided with Breda's Fabian Sporkslede in the first half of the match.
He underwent surgery last night and is out for the rest of the season.
Ahannach returned to the Netherlands in the January transfer window, joining Sparta for the rest of the season.
Albion signed the Amsterdam-born left-winger, of Moroccan descent, from Almere City last summer for an undisclosed fee on a contract until 2020.
He was a regular in Simon Rusk's under-23s squad in the first half of the season and made two appearances in the Football League Trophy.
