Albion have a free hit at Anfield tomorrow as Glenn Murray tries to haunt Liverpool again.

The Seagulls’ top scorer says all the pressure is on the hosts in the curtain closer.

While Albion have already achieved their goal of Premier League safety, Liverpool still need a point to ensure Chelsea cannot overhaul them for a Champions League spot.

Murray said: “It’s a free game for us. We go there and there’s no pressure on us, all the pressure is on Liverpool. They need some points to get their Champions League place. It should be an enjoyable game for us.”

Murray’s presence in Albion’s ranks is a haunting reminder for Liverpool as they try to avoid their Champions League qualification hopes resting on beating Real Madrid in the final later this month.

They were in contention for the title four seasons ago when they threw away a 3-0 lead at mid-table Crystal Palace in their penultimate match with 12 minutes left.

Murray set up fellow sub Dwight Gayle’s late equaliser and Liverpool ended up as runners-up to Manchester City by two points.

Murray told The Argus: “Me and Dwight came on and we did quite well. Well I didn’t actually score, that was the only disappointment. Dwight got two. It was a great atmosphere and that really derailed them from winning the title.

“I can remember Suarez crying on the field that day. That was a special night.

“Sometimes you get the best of teams who’ve been in a pressurised situation for such a long time and looking at the table and working out fixtures. To have that pressure off your shoulders, sometimes it frees teams up to maybe play a little bit better.”
