Dickinson aims to put the boot in

Liam Dickinson wants to send the Huddersfield defence bananas tonight – in his new yellow boots.

Nike's latest model, dubbed the 'banana boots' are all the rage with players up and down the country.

Dickinson said: "I don't like dull, boring colours. I like to brighten the pitch up a bit. I've had a bit of stick off the lads."

Dickinson is on a revenge mission against his old club after his first goal for Albion was overshadowed by their 7-1 hammering at the Galpharm Stadium in August.

The striker, who scored six goals in 13 games for Huddersfield on loan from Derby last season, said: "The gaffer has drummed it into us that we are not good enough at home.

"Huddersfield are a top side but we owe them one for that drubbing away from home earlier in the season."

Dickinson continues to deputise for out—of-favour top scorer Nicky Forster. He was dropped from the squad for Saturday's 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient and will be missing again following his contract fall-out with manager Gus Poyet.

Poyet confirmed: "The situation hasn't changed, so there is nothing really for me to comment on.

"Like I said after the game on Saturday, I don't want to talk about Nicky Forster."

Rubbish. You really talk some utter tosh. Are you in touch with actual real BHA fans, or do you live within your own head?

Watched LD with great interest at the Orient game, I'm afriad his "kick me boots" looked dreadful and smacks of too busy looking good. Why cant players concentrate on producing the goods on the pitch instead of worrying how good they look on the pitch. Back to basics Brighton black boots and roll your sleevs up and start winning matches!
Then you have earned the right to start looking like models!

Ps "I like to brighten the pitch up a bit. I've had a bit of stick off the lads." Wouldnt he be better off doing this by scoring goals as that it what he is being paid for...............

Yeah, because it is quite obviously a choice between wearing yellow boots OR scoring goals.
Sheesh, give me strength!

From the man who ribbed Kuipers about his rascal shoes too! I hope FDM is giving him suitable stick. With Forster in the doghouse this is a real chance for Liam to cement a place. Well said RyFish by the way.

You would no doubt like to inspect the team prior to them playing, so that you might have the offending kit removed and replaced with something that is, in your eyes, 'aesthetically far more pleasing' ....
LD, and any other player, could turn out in pink and green striped boots to be honest. If it means that the wearer feels satisfaction through wearing something that certainly does add a little more colour to proceedings, then so be it ....
Many modern day players follow this trend, if it gives them a lift to their play, then surely that is more important ....
After all, a teams' kit consists of shirt, shorts and socks. When were 'black' boots considered as an additional requirement?
