Albion land Toon talent

Albion have agreed the signing of 19-year-old Newcastle winger Kazenga LuaLua on a month's loan.

The younger brother of former Newcastle and Portsmouth striker Lomana LuaLua has made six appearances for the Tyneside giants and had a loan spell with Doncaster last season.

Albion chief Gus Poyet told The Argus today: "I've watched him a couple of times and I know his qualities.

"He can play on the right wing or the left. He is very quick and he is going to bring us something totally different to what we've got."

Albion fans will have to wait until Saturday's visit of leaders Norwich for Congo-born LuaLua's debut, as he is not in the squad for tonight's game against Huddersfield.

A welcome addition but how odd to sign someone and then send them home to Newcastle rather than keep them here to play tonight even if only from the bench. To change our home form we need some inspiration and as GP says, to do something different - but here we've missed a chance to do just that

Great signing. And by the look of his picture he won't be need to feel inadequate in the showers.

Most newcastle fans on the local rag forum seem to think he should be playing in thenewcastle first team which is encouraging. He is apparently desperate to play football and prove he can make it at newcastle so this looks a good move. Will be interesting to see if he drops Dicker since he is a big fan of Navarro.

Great news, let's hope he stays for more than just a month. All we need now is a striker that can score 20 goals a season!!!!

I think we have someone who can score 20 goals a season. He is called Glenn Murray with Dickinson taking the heat for him and Bennett and Lua Lua out wide he could just get them !

Amazing goal, interesting signing. Need to get him playing but you do worry about shape. Where does that leave Carole?
