Holroyd in for Albion

Gus Poyet unleashes a new strikeforce as Albion chase a much-needed Withdean win tonight.

Chris Holroyd makes his first start in the tough-looking League One clash with Huddersfield.

If Glenn Murray is to get his first home goal of the season, he will have to do it off the bench.

Meanwhile winger Seb Carole replaces Gary Dicker, who has been operating on the left of late.

With Nicky Forster still out of the picture, Liam Dickinson continues up front.

Huddersfield are without the injured Dean Heffernan and name top scorer Jordan Rhodes on the bench.

We will have all the action from here at chilly Withdean as it happens.

Two bold selections by GP. The 1st real test if CH & SC are more than squad players. A home win would make a big difference.

I like the way Poyet tries build the side from the front to try to take the pressure of the back but it is scarcely a tried and tested formula. When he came he said it was about not conceding goals and this I suppose is his novel way of achieving that.

It will be interesting to see how Holroyd performs, he looks a bit of a lightweight to me and I think his lack of experience particularly against a sided like Huddersfield may make it difficult for him.

Interesting. Reading into this I would think that GP has dropped GM because of his poor form at home. Hopefully dropping GM will give him the fire up his a#@! that he needs to get his first Withdean goal.

Dicker can feel a little bit hard done by but it's positive to give an attacking player a chance to make an impact and someone had to be sacrificed.

No surprise that NF has once again been dropped after trying to push the club into giving him a contract. So silly. He would have either got a contract from the Albion or another club at the end of the season. Now he faces the rest of the season without any football which will make other clubs nervous about signing him. He's gambled and lost. All that will save his footballing career now is a u-turn and an apology.
