Carole gets the call

Albion have opted against a change in shape as they go to Oldham today - and that is great news for Seb Carole.

The French wideman comes in as a like-for-like replacement for on-loan winger Kazenga LuaLua as the Seagulls retain their 4-5-1, or 4-3-3, formation for the trip to rainswept Boundary Park.

LuaLua has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

Chris Holroyd is also absent today with a hamstring problem though he could be back next Saturday.

Albion had hoped Diego Arismedi could be fit for this one but he is not in the 18.

Dean Cox returns to the bench after a midweek hat-trick for the reserves.

Oldham come into the game fresh from a 1-0 win at nearby Stockport in midweek.

They needed a fortunate penalty award against ex-Albion defender Adam Hinshelwood to snatch a draw with Wycombe here last Saturday.

Albion's last three visits here have also finished all-square, all with 1-1 scorelines after Oldham scored first.
