Gus Poyet believes his new Argentinean duo can carve out lengthy careers in Europe.
Albion have signed Agustin Battipiedi, 20, and Cristian Baz, 23, on one-year deals after their contracts expired at third-tier Comunicaciones in their home city of Buenos Aires.
Both midfielder Battipiedi (Italian) and striker Baz (Spanish) have European passports, allowing them to try their luck across the Atlantic.
Seagulls boss Poyet said: "They are delighted to come to Europe and that's the big thing. They are hungry. They will give it their all.
"If you like they are both on a long trial but they have got quality to stay here for many years."
Poyet, who left Uruguay to join Zaragoza in 1990, admitted he was keen to bring the pair over together.
He added: "I know how difficult it can be to adapt. They needed each other's company."
Battipiedi and Baz were given a Spanish welcome to Albion's training ground yesterday by chief scout Zigor Aranalde and full back Inigo Calderon.
