Albion make changes on the bench

Albion have named an unchanged starting XI to face Leicester today – but there are a couple of interesting changes on the bench.

Spanish midfielder Vicente is among the five subs as is new loan signing Joe Matttock against his home city club.

Gus Poyet has resisted the temptation to make changes to the side which kicked off in midweek at Crystal Palace.

Sam Vokes came off the bench in that game and, if he is to make his home debut today, it will be as a sub.

Torbjorn Agdestein, who also came on against Palace, does not feature in the 16.

Leicester's line-up shows no surprises, which means they go 4-3-3 and start with out-and-out left winger Lloyd Dyer looking to supply in-form strikers Jermaine Beckford and David Nugent.

Inspirational centre-back Sol Bamba is currently away at the African Cup Of Nations so Sean St Ledger continues to stand in.

Recent signings Nathan Delfouneso, Wes Morgan and Ben Marshall are all on the bench.

Albion: Brezovan; Calderon, Greer, Dunk, El-Abd; Bridcutt, Navarro, Sparrow; Buckley, Barnes, Mackail-Smith. Subs: Ankergren, Mattock, Vicente, Forster-Caskey, Vokes.

Leicester: Schmeichel; Peltier, St Ledger, Mills, Konchesky; Wellens, Danns, Drinkwater; Dyer, Nugent, Beckford. Subs: Logan, Morgan, Gallagher, Marshall, Delfouneso.

Referee: Andy Woolmer (Northants)

But can he find his way off it..........? Seriously. He is guaranteed to get 30 minutes or so and I am really looking forward to seeing what he can contribute. Exciting times to be an Albion fan and the next two or three games will show if we have what it takes to challenge for a play-off place.

That my friend is the million dollar question..... no doubting the guys ability though, absolute quality when fit.
Im not so sure that the next few games will tell us much mind, what i mean is that i think both Reyes and Mattock will be integrated over the next few weeks as will Vokes and then of course we have the return of Kaz and Noone, all very exciting and these few names alone show how far we have come, i just think the true show of strength will come when all are fit and gus can name is 1st 11.
