  • "This isn't shock news for me. He was excellent against Southampton. He is young, has strength, pace, good balance, left footed, gets forward and can defend. I hope he stays but if we get a million for him, I'd be happy."

Spurs eye Albion defender

Being watched: Hall Being watched: Hall

Albion defender Grant Hall is a shock target for Tottenham.

The North London giants are monitoring the progress of the 20-year-old centre half.

They have watched him in action several times for the development squad in recent matches.

Hall broke into the Seagulls' first team earlier this season.

He made his debut as a substitute against Southampton at The Amex in January and his full debut against Wrexham in the FA Cup five days later.

Spurs have previously been linked with a summer move for Albion's other 20-year-old central defender Lewis Dunk, who recently lost his first team spot to Adam El-Abd.
