El-Abd makes winning start with Egypt
9:42pm Sunday 20th May 2012 in Albion By Brian Owen
Adam El-Abd’s international career is up and running with a win.
The Albion defender played the second half of Egypt’s 2-1 friendly win over Cameroon in Sudan tonight.
He went close to scoring, hitting the side-netting from a corner, and successfully came through a modest defensive test against a below-strength Cameroon side.
El-Abd partnered young Fiorentina defender Ahmed Hegazy at centre-back and was always looking to organise colleagues at opposition set pieces.
He made several interceptions and impressed with his physical presence.
The Brighton-born defender, whose father is Egyptian, also created a decent chance with a long ball.
El-Abd is hoping to make the cut for the World Cup qualifier against Mozambique, to be played behind closed doors in Alexandria on June 1.
The Pharaohs face Togo in a friendly on Tuesday and also hope to play Zambia later this week.
With thanks to Adam Moustafa, whose Twitter feed on Egyptian football can be found at @egyFt.

Adam has worked very hard at his game to improve all aspects of his play and has stepped on immeasurably.
He's made a great success of his club career and will now hopefully carve out a future on the internaional scene too.
Well done and good luck to him in his attempts to "make the cut".
Egypt are a major force in African footy so if he keeps at it he may very well be on that plane to Brazil in 2014.

Scrollin' scrollin' scrollin',
So I can keep ignorin',
the tedious a-hole in,

Through rain and sunny weather,
His comments they do never
Warrant reading' or any response
My mind's prone to avoidin'
The ramblings so devoid in
Content, amusement or appeal
Miss him out
Pass him by
Scroll on through
To the end
Don't respond
He's a troll
Hove Park
Don't you quote
Or remark
He's a joke
But not a lark
Cut him loose
To stink oooouuut

Also I have never said I am a Brighton fan, I'm just a season ticket holder who enjoys football but doesn't see too much of that at the Amex.
Now we've got that sorted I wish you good night and hope you are not too upset and disappointed by the season ahead.

These specimens remind me of a situation some friends had to suffer in the past.
They lived in a house with damp. It was pungent and unpleasant but they managed to live with it by getting used to it and to a late degree ignoring it.
Maybe this is what we have hear until it is treated.
Oh well, scrollin' scrollin' scrollin'....

Just to provide us with evidence and back up you claim of club membership, maybe you could let us all know what is on the top right of your membership card, and also the first digit of your card number?

One week he says he was in the West, next week he was in the North and another in hospitality. Anyone else got a roving season ticket like that?
If he was there at all it was as staff.
Probably his first time inside a stadium and expects it to be like MOTD highlights for 90 mins.
