El-Abd out of qualifier
3:44pm Tuesday 29th May 2012 in Albion By Brian Owen
Ruled out: Adam El-Abd
Adam El-Abd has seen his hopes of a World Cup debut with Egypt dashed.
The Albion defender has been told passport registering procedures will not be completed in time for the qualifier against Mozambique on Friday.
Egypt boss Bob Bradley revealed in The Argus yesterday there was a delay in processing paperwork for El-Abd, who was born in Brighton and has an Egyptian father.

Agree with above comment....Just had a wade through Sky Transfers Centre and it seems there is a lot of movement of players in the Championship, just hope GP is not going to be left behind.

I merely pointed out that I was perfectly happy to wait until the deals are done, as opposed to hearing about rumours, speculation and paper talk.
Bearing in mind last summer saw Hoskins, CMS, and Buckley arrive, to name just three, I'm pretty sure they club has things in hand...

He wouldn't have got chosen anyway. He played a bit part as a sub in one of the friendlies and failed to impress for a terrible Egypt side. Another waste of space that we could do without, local boy or not.

The response was positive anyway. Even leading one Egyptian fan to construct a youTube video of El-Abd's highlights - plenty of good tackles and what would have been an impressive assist if the receiving striker had been able to control a football.

Just acknowledging Cap'n H's re-working of the peice.
I nicked his idea, but not his lines.
I don't think Cabin fever agrees that 1.00am or any other time is my 'creative time'.
Careful what you wish for, Cabin fever, and don't encourage him!
