  I tend to agree. It would be nice to see some positive action regarding recruits for the squad rather than just hearing vague 'rumours' mainly about players leaving eg Bridcutt, Dunk, Hall and Noone. So one new face might make one feel more relaxed especially as Poyet said at the end of last season he would like to get any new signings in before preseason training started and that's only a week away. However there's been plenty of Positive action behind the scenes in the last 6 months. David Burke and Paul Barber have joined, Season ticket sales have hit 21,000 and another 5,000 seats will be available for the start of the season.

  Captain H mixed messages coming out of the Amex at present re ST sales.
  I believe that the Argus reported on Saturday that something approaching 23,000 season tickets have been sold - unfortunately living in London I can't 'buy' an Argus and rely instead on this website as do many others.
  However when I rang the club this morning I was told (a) they have sold 21,000, (b) they have about 1,000 still available and (c) they are limiting season ticket sales this season to about 22,000.
  It would be good if the club issued a definitive statement as to what the figure actually is. Perhaps our brand new Chief Exec will do so.
  In the meantime I look forward to hearing about some new recruits in the next 8 to 10 days. There does seem to be a consensus view starting with Poyet that the squad needs strengthening.
  I've just seen that Poyet has issued a 'calming' statement about recruiting and hopes that 3,4 or 5 players will have joined by the beginning of July. Whilst appreciating that the season starts later this year I hope his optimism is justified.
  Even Gus acknowledges that he will be nervous if the situation hasn't changed by 15 July (when we start playing friendly matches).
  Finally glad to see that Poyet seems positive about the chances of Vicente staying."
