Hall plays for Spurs
8:35am Tuesday 17th July 2012 in Albion By Andy Naylor
Grant Hall
Grant Hall featured for Tottenham's academy team in a friendly at Kingstonian last night.
The young centre half has refused to sign a new contract with Albion, although they say the door is still open to him.
Tottenham monitored Hall in the Seagulls' development squad last season. The ex-Lewes stopper broke into Albion's first team at the turn of the year.

By all accounts he was the best player on the pitch.
If he goes on to do a deal with Spurs, which seems likely, they will have to approach Albion to agree terms for age related compensation or go to a tribunal.

For someone whom lives in the most mediocre, tacky part of Hove and obviously has the smallest manhood in existence whilst being the biggest online idiot I have ever seen to date to have the urge to wind up true Brighton fans, week in and week out, he must have some sort of social and emotional problems!
I'd like to see him dare say his peace to our faces rather than the online coward / wind up merchant that he is!
Unless you support the team and try to get behind them why don't you bugger off... Once promoted and it will happen, Brighton will have more chance of winning the prem than Hotspur especially after dumping Harry!

It'll be sad if we lose a promising young player but moving to a big club is obviously hard to turn down. But I do wonder if he'll regret going to Spurs (if he does) in the end. He has very limited first team experience at the moment and we are an ambitious Championship club. I just think he'd probably do better to get some real experience at the Albion before going to a bigger club. Is he really going to be good enough to actually play for Spurs. Or will he (along with many others) play for Spurs development squad and reserves for a couple of years, be told (along with many others) he won't makethe first team, be released and end up at a Division 2 team as someone who 'was at Spurs' rather than someone who 'played for Spurs'. How many players have we signed with that sort of pedigree over the last 50 years? And how many of them were really very good?

If Berbatov goes to Fat Sam's Hoof-It Academy then we might get a chance of signing Carlton Cole, especially if they get Carroll too. Cole would be awesome for us, in my opinion.

Sums it up perfectly, bu if Grant gets dazzled by Spurs' headlights that's his risk.
Personally I would stay with Albion for the reasons stated above.

With my objective hat on there is little to choose between the two options – two decent strikers and two of the better Championship teams. I still think CMS could be prolific for BHA but if we are honest most of us will be disappointed with how last season panned out – the team just didn’t seem set up to play to his strengths. I don’t think RM will unsettle teams like CMS can, but he has a good scoring record and is younger.
The Leeds fans I’ve seen discussing this are much of the same opinion as the Brighton ones – both would prefer their own man to stay but if the deals go ahead it wouldn’t be the end of the world. £500k adjustment in our favour sounds about right.

Leeds are still in the middle of a change, or part change, of ownership, which could hold up any major transfer transactions.
I would not want CMS to go, however Leeds have got Snodgrass who does not want to extend his contract there. I wonder if he fits the bill for us? (Keeping CMS at the Amex of course).
