Albion appoint academy boss
5:21pm Wednesday 25th July 2012 in Albion By Brian Owen
Albion have appointed John Morling to the newly created post of academy manager.
The current Republic of Ireland under-17s manager, 38, will take up the role next week.
Morling joined the Irish international set-up in 2005 from Peterborough United, where he rose through the ranks of the club's academy.

His International stature and experience sounds good. Does this mean we will get some quality Irish lads?

Only former Watford boss Graham Taylor was younger when he gained his badge.

Any news on when work on the new training facility at Lancing is to begin? It's all gone quiet on that front.

The importance of experience and quality for this position cannot be overstated, good to have you aboard John. Changing the subject if i may,i`ve just read a rumours page, linking us to Guti and Gudjohnsen. If this materialises then our team could field players from Man Utd,Man City,Valencia,AEK Athens and Real Madrid, bring it on!!!
Coinsidently, he represents a company that look after Jordan Rhodes"

Of the issue a little, but I was just a looking at today’s photo of the Amex redevelopment and is it just me, or are the new seats in the corner a noticeably lighter blue than the existing ones? Hope it's just the light conditions, otherwise that would significantly spoil the aesthetics??

new plans for the training ground were approved by the local parish council last week I believe so going foward now to the district council for planning approval. Residents still objecting it seems but it seems likely that nothing short of leaving an empty plot of ground will meet their approval. Fair play. If I wasn't a football fan I might well feel the same.
Looks like a no brainer to me!
