Wayne Bridge completed his first full game for Albion as they drew 2-2 at Crawley tonight.
The left-back produced a classy display for a relatively inexperienced Seagulls line-up, Marcos Painter had half an hour at centre-back after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile new Reds boss Richie Barker had a good look at his senior squad, using 19 players in all.
The hosts went two up in the first quarter of the game through terrific finishes from outside the box by Hope Akpan and Billy Clarke.
Mat Sadler’s clumsy own goal quickly put Albion back in the contest.
They levelled with a classy goal on the half-hour as George Barker slipped a clever pass through for Charlie Oatway, who chipped Paul Jones.
The friendly attracted 2,125 fans, 691 of them in the away end.
