Albion could face their old keeper

Clean sheet: David Gonzalez in action at Barnsley Clean sheet: David Gonzalez in action at Barnsley

Former Albion goalkeeper David Gonzalez is on course for a return to The Amex - with Barnsley.

Gonzalez has signed for the Tykes on a non-contract basis after Ben Alnwick (suspension) and Luke Steele (groin injury) were ruled out.

Alnwick will complete his three-match ban when Barnsley visit the Seagulls a week on Saturday.

Gonzalez kept a clean sheet for Albion at Oakwell in April but was released a few days later.

His only home appearance came in a 2-2 draw against Watford when his opposite number was current Albion keeper Tomasz Kuszczak.

I hope Clangers returns for this match. I wonder if the North stand will be allowed to jeer him then?
But what do I know?
