Poyet has cover in midfield, he bought the replacement, it's time to make a decision once and for all regarding Vicente, either he has to make it or the club does.

This is the year that we make the big push for promotion, the new signings make that very clear, and by giving Dobbie a three year contract it suggests that Gus feels that the lad still has something to offer at the top level.

CMS to have a twenty goal season, well that looks more likely with the addition of Dobbie and the new and improved service he should get from midfield. Dobbie will bang a bunch in too, it won't be all about setting up CMS.

If the club cuts "the guy loose" as you put it, then we would have to pay his contract up surely. You say you mean no disrespect to him and then infer he's deadwood.Also, it's Gus who is telling us he(Vicente) has "a slight injury". As such, are you meaning that Gus is being less than honest with us? It's beginning to sound a bit like last year when(understandably) some supporters were frustrated and suggesting Vicente was a bad purchase. I remain of the view that he is still, and by some way, the most talented player we have and I look forward to seeing him in the stripes again as soon as possible and I guess Gus feels exactly the same way.UTA

Yes Im inclined to the same thinking both in terms of the philosophical notion of using him sparingly to maximise his potential and having a feeling he'll be gone at least quite soon.

Hope he stays for this season before returning home though. Would be great to continue celebrating his talents on the pitch (as and when!) and having him associated with what we hope will be a famous promotion-winning campaign.

Either way round and back on main topic, it's great to see Dobbie settling in and looking forward to playing for us.

I'm delighted he's signed and especially for the length of contract he has done.

Cahors is great Rolivan. I have been coming here for 20 years now and I am sure the wine is much better than it was then. The ''Black wines' of Cahors are still udervalued (I'm pleased to say) and are actually deserving of a higher profile rather like our great football club 'the Albion'. I agree with this + the way to get the most and the best out of Vicente is to play him as an impact sub because we all know the impact he can have. That way we'll protect him a bit and so get more games and maximum benefit from him - and what a bench we're gonna have!!

There is no chance of a prem deal for Vicente, his fitness issues and or other issues would rule that out.

I would suggest that a possible loan swap deal might be possible with a spanish club.

So glad you asked about the FF. Would you beleive it the SOB started working again all on it's own, three days dead and then back to life, kinda biblical don't ya think. Well we lost all the food but we have a new machine now and everything is cool, excuse the pun. Waiting of the air con work to be completed now, should happen tomorrow.

Hovite I don't think that either Rolivan or I were seriously expecting BHA to be able to arrange a 'swap' deal with a Premiership club although stramger things have been known to happen like Vicente joining us in the first place.
However your idea of a swap deal with a Spanish club might actually have legs.
